Scope of Journal
The journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and applied studies that explore physical, mental, social, and environmental dimensions of health and wellbeing. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, public health, clinical and community health, maternal and child health, nursing and midwifery, mental health, nutrition, occupational health and safety, environmental health, health promotion and disease prevention, health policy, digital health, and health-related social sciences.
Publication Ethics
Journal of Health and Wellbeing Research is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. The journal takes all reasonable steps to prevent publication malpractice and ensures integrity throughout the editorial and publication process. This publication ethics statement outlines the responsibilities of authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher, in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to HUMANEA are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles:
a. Originality and Plagiarism
Manuscripts must be original and not previously published. Plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and inappropriate image or data manipulation are strictly prohibited. All sources must be properly cited.
b. Research Involving Human Participants
Studies involving human participants must comply with ethical standards, including informed consent, confidentiality, and respect for participants’ rights and dignity. Where applicable, authors must state that ethical approval was obtained from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board.
c. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish substantially similar content in multiple publications.
d. Authorship and Contribution
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the study’s conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation. All contributors meeting these criteria should be listed as authors.
e. Acknowledgment of Sources and Funding
All relevant sources of funding, institutional support, and contributions must be clearly acknowledged.
f. Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of their findings.
2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors of HUMANEA are responsible for:
a. Making publication decisions based on academic merit, originality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
b. Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer review process.
c. Safeguarding the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
d. Managing conflicts of interest transparently and recusing themselves when necessary.
e. Taking appropriate action in cases of suspected ethical misconduct, including plagiarism or unethical research practices.
3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
a. Conduct reviews objectively, constructively, and within the agreed timeframe.
b. Maintain strict confidentiality of the manuscript and review process.
c. Identify relevant literature that has not been cited by the authors.
d. Declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments when such conflicts exist.
4. Publisher’s Ethical Responsibilities

b. Ensuring transparency and integrity in journal management.
c. Maintaining accurate records of all published content.
d. Facilitating corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when ethical issues are identified.
5. Handling of Ethical Misconduct
HUMANEA takes allegations of publication misconduct seriously. Any suspected cases of plagiarism, data falsification, unethical research involving human participants, or authorship disputes will be investigated following COPE guidelines. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction, notification to authors’ institutions, or other corrective measures.
6. Corrections, Retractions, and Expressions of Concern
If errors or ethical issues are identified after publication that affect the integrity or reliability of the work, the journal will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Journal of Health and Wellbeing Research is an open access journal that provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles. The journal is committed to the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge and contributes to the advancement of health and wellbeing.
All articles published in HUMANEA are freely accessible to readers without subscription fees or access barriers. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full texts of articles, as well as use them for any lawful purpose, provided that proper acknowledgment of the original work and source is given.
